Yosemite National Park in California has a lot to
offer. It has towering giant granite mountains, some of the world's tallest
waterfalls, Giant Sequoia trees and an abundance of wildlife. The most frequently
visited part of the park is Yosemite Valley itself. It spans elevations
ranging from 2,000 to 13,000 feet above sea level. The valley was carved by
the movement of glaciers, which ultimately retreated leaving a lake behind.
Sediment in the lake formed the relatively flat bed of the canyon.
If
you're interested in photos of Yosemite's wildflowers, I've posted a few at
Yosemite Wildflowers.
I hope you enjoy my photos of Yosemite National Park.
