I've been into Coyote Buttes several times now and each time I come back
with a few more pictures. So here are a few more - these from January, 2005.
If you're interested in hiking in Arizona, I'd highly recommend hiking the Wave
and the other hikes in Coyote Buttes.

The Wave was named for the unusual rock formations that sometimes
resemble the breaking of ocean surf.

There are trails over the initial ridge
into Coyote Buttes, but after that you're on your own. But that's part of the
fun. Once in this large area of unusual rock formations you can explore to
your heart's content.

Whether you make it to The Wave or not, whether you have
doubts if you made it there or not, you're certain to see some great scenery when
hiking to The Wave.
