Coyote Buttes is an area along the Utah/Arizona border about half way between Kanab, Utah and Page, Arizona. It's a beautiful place. The Bureau of Land Management restricts the number of hikers into some areas.

The photos on these pages were taken in Buckskin Gulch - a slot canyon.

This is the view of the approach to the opening of the slot canyon in Buckskin Gulch	Initially, there is a lot of light in the slot canyon - from the entrance and also from above before the walls are too high.
But as you go deeper into the slot canyon, the walls rise higher on each side and the slot canyon grows darker.	This photo is looking down from above, near the entrance to the slot canyon.
