There's about a sixty mile stretch of the California
coast that's generally referred to as Big Sur. It spans the region from the
village of the same name north to Carmel. It's a beautiful, rugged
stretch of rock-lined coast easily accessible along Highway 101. The area
can be easily appreciated in a single day by driving south from Monterey, Carmel, or
Pacific Grove. But if you have the time, it easily deserves more than a day.
I hope you enjoy my photos of Big Sur.

Many of the scenic turnouts and state parks along

the beautiful Big Sur coast.
