The 2004 "Thunder Over Michigan" Air Show made its sixth
annual appearance at the Willow Run Airport in Michigan in August. The
show mainly features World War II vintage aircraft, but there were a few modern
day jets on display also. The planes were parked on the tarmac, allowing for
close inspection by attendees of the show. Many of the aircraft owners also
allowed the public into their planes to inspect the interiors. Fly-bys and a
little bit of aerobatics were performed either singly or in formation.
I hope you enjoy my photos of the Thunder Over Michigan Airshow of 2004.
B-17 It sure looks graceful moving
through the air.
A-10 Warthogs These guys look anything but graceful.
But I guess they're very effective.
TBM-3E Avenger The gun turret behind the cockpit is
a distinctive feature.
